A warm welcome from the Headmaster

Ringkjoebing Gymnasium is quite a small institution, with around 390 students attending and a staff consisting of 43 teachers, which means that our focus is on the individual student experiencing a caring and friendly environment and that nobody is left behind. The result is a high degree of student attendance with almost no students dropping out. This is what we mean by close to you.

At Ringkjoebing Gymnasium competence and caring for and about each other go hand in hand.

Our competence stems primarily from the fact that all staff are university educated, teaching only the subjects of their academic qualifications. Every year our students score significantly above the national average and 98 percent of our classes are given according to schedule with few, if any, cancellations.

Our school offers four main areas of study preparing for university entrance: The natural and social sciences, languages ancient and modern, and music. Each area of study can be customized and tailored to the needs and desires of the individual student. In spite of our relatively small size we further offer a broad range of optional subjects such as Business Economics, Art and Design, Philosophy, Latin, Sports etc.

Ringkjoebing Gymnasium is your ideal point of departure on the road ahead – the road leading to further education, with the traditional white cap of the undergraduate Danish student being the best ticket to further education.

Caring for and about each other is another hallmark of our school, evident from especially designed introductory classes for new students, field trips to abroad, our yearly musical with almost every student participating, extra-curricular activities such as sports and music, weekly morning assemblies, lectures involving the entire school, theatrical performances etc.- not to mention the frequent parties and the yearly school prom. Our school boasts a modern and architecturally inviting design with sports and fitness facilities, and our computers are cutting edge and state of the art: With 120 pc workstations available for student use and an email-address for each student, computer literacy and cyber fluency are seamlessly integrated in each class and are part and parcel of our teaching environment. After classes we offer facilities and instruments for practising a variety of musical skills.
